Technical Optimisation & Planning

We Build Your Complete Show File
During the build, we work closely with you to shape every element of your show into one integrated, reliable QLab file. This goes far beyond simply assembling cues — we refine the structure, timing, transitions, and overall flow to create a polished technical experience that feels natural and consistent on stage. If your show requires new content, such as custom audio, visuals, atmospheres, or specialist elements, we can create these for you, collaborating with industry experts when needed to achieve a professional result. As the file nears completion, we review the full show together, walking through each cue, running technical rehearsals, and making any adjustments required so the final file reflects your vision perfectly. By the end of this stage, your show is not just built — it is engineered, refined, and creatively developed to run smoothly and confidently in any venue.

Your completed QLab file is delivered fully integrated, tested, and ready for any venue. Everything is structured so the technician simply loads the file and your show runs exactly as intended, even without rehearsals or run-throughs. You’ll also receive a technical specification sheet for the venue, and if you ever need adjustments or support, we’re here to help.
Your Show Is Ready to Run
What to Expect
Your final StageKit file is delivered as a complete, fully integrated QLab show file — the industry-standard playback system used in almost every theatre and concert-style venue across the world. You’ll receive the file digitally for immediate access, and you’ll also get an optimised USB stick designed for smooth, reliable use in venue environments. When you arrive on site, it’s as straightforward as handing the USB to the venue technician. They load the QLab file, and your entire show is ready to run.
This isn’t just a folder of tracks or a loose collection of assets. Your final file contains the full technical structure of your performance: audio, visuals, cues, transitions, timings, and any additional moments you’ve chosen to include. If your show has different versions — such as performing with or without a band, using sick tracks, or switching between alternate formats — we can build those scenarios directly into the file so they’re quick to access and run exactly as intended.
Your show is structured to avoid awkward pauses or gaps. Preshow ambience, introductions, interludes, transitions, finales, and encores can all be integrated to create a smooth, confident flow that follows your natural pacing rather than relying on guesswork from the technician.
If your performance uses lighting, we can include lighting cues inside the QLab file or provide optional lighting cue sheets for venues that run lighting manually. We can even automate the lighting fully so sound, visuals, and lighting work together seamlessly.
Every final file includes a clear, easy-to-follow technical requirements sheet for the venue, outlining exactly what is needed to run your show correctly. This removes the usual problems of file sharing, drag-and-drop setups, trial-and-error adjustments, and venue-specific changes. The file simply works — even if the technician has never seen your show before.
And for performers who want full control, we can supply a dedicated show computer preloaded with your QLab file, giving you a completely self-contained system you can take anywhere.
Your StageKit file is more than a collection of cues — it’s the entire technical backbone of your show, condensed into one organised, reliable, and instantly runnable QLab file that works in virtually any venue across the UK.
Frequently asked questions
What is QLab?
QLab is the professional show-control software trusted across the live entertainment industry. It’s used in the vast majority of theatres and concert-style venues throughout the UK to run sound, video, lighting, and show-control cues reliably, night after night.
Because it’s already the standard platform in almost every venue, your StageKit file fits straight into existing systems. The venue loads the file, presses go, and your show runs exactly as intended — with no extra setup, no unfamiliar software, and no learning curve for you.
Who is StageKit for?
StageKit is built for performers who want their show to feel smooth, professional, and effortless.
Singers, comedians, tribute acts, magicians, drag artists, theatre performers — if you step on a stage, StageKit helps your show run exactly the way you imagine it.
How do I use the final file?
Your show file is delivered digitally and on a StageKit USB stick. At the venue, you simply hand the USB to the technician. They load it, and your entire show is ready to run.
No file hunting. No setup problems. Just plug in and go.
What if my show has multiple versions?
We can build them all into one clean, organised file.
With band, without band, sick-track mode, long versions, short versions — everything is prepared so switching versions is simple and clear.
Can you help create content for my show?
Yes. If you need custom audio, visuals, intros, or atmospheric moments, we can create them. And if something requires specialist input, we work with industry professionals to ensure it feels polished and consistent with your show.
What if something goes wrong at a venue?
Your file includes built-in show-stop options, giving the technician simple tools to pause, hold, restart, or recover smoothly.
And if you ever need help, we’re here. Most issues can be solved quickly — often within minutes.
Do I need to use the venue’s system, or can I run the show myself?
You can do either.
Most acts simply hand their StageKit USB to the venue technician and let them run the show using the venue’s existing QLab setup. It’s quick, familiar, and works in almost every theatre or concert-style venue.
If you’d rather be completely self-contained, you can also run the show from your own Mac. And if you don’t want to worry about setup, compatibility, or optimisation, we can supply a dedicated show computer — fully configured, tested, and preloaded with your show. You just connect to the venue via HDMI and audio, and everything runs exactly as designed.
It’s the same show, the same file — just whichever level of control you prefer.
No file hunting. No setup problems. Just plug in and go.
